Kobalt Books Presents NEW Book - SLOW BURN

Bala Cynwyd, PA - Kobalt Books presents “Slow Burn”, a new book by Tulsa, OK native, Ebony Farashuu. Serafina finds herself in the middle of despair as her soul mate lies on his deathbed while she struggles to maintain hope and remain true. Her best friend, Ayzha, is trapped in a marriage where intimacy is non-existent and the desire to cheat is overwhelming. Sexy, hilarious, and heartbreaking, Slow Burn follows two women as they pursue love, make love, lose love, and learn what true love and friendship really mean. In Ebony Farashuu’s debut novel, “Slow Burn”, she taps into the emotions of Serafina Jordan and Ayzha Darwin; Two women on the edge of happiness, on the bank of disaster, and on the verge of despair. Remember...If it isn't by Ebony Farashuu...it is not SLOW BURN....the phenomenal novel that will make you laugh, cry, reflect, and relate!

Ebony Farashuu, author of “Slow Burn”, is no stranger to heartache. Divorced in 2004, Farashuu immediately began writing “Slow Burn” in order to tap into these extreme emotions. She paints vivid pictures of desperately losing love, and trying to win it back. No stranger to the highs and lows of love, Farashuu displays levels of passion and intimacy that nearly jump off the page, and pull you into the book.

Farashuu tells the story from Serafina and Ayzha’s points of view, bringing the reader into the story, and allowing them to experience what the characters are really feeling. Also intriguing is the handling of her male characters, Jeremy Sanders and Khalil Roberts.

• “It wasn’t always easy to write from a man’s point of view. I interviewed many different men, in order to truly understand their way of thinking. This information is what created the personalities of Jeremy and Khalil. I knew men would be able to relate to the raw emotion of the characters”, Farashuu says.

Ebony Farashuu writes from a perspective that taps into emotions that can only be appreciated by those who have experienced love, longed for love, and appreciated the complexities of the emotion.

“Slow Burn” is an intense read that will take you on the ride of your life.

• “As I wrote this novel, it was necessary for me to close my eyes and recall when I have felt what each character was experiencing, as they made their journey through the pages. As I wrote “Slow Burn”, I laughed, cried, loved, and hurt alongside the characters in the book” Farashuu explained.

Like an actress who transforms her psyche in order to win an Academy Award, Ebony Farashuu has penned a performance that will make you forget that you’re reading a book as the scenes unfold right in front of you.
